National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coaching

True health requires that we address all aspects of ourselves – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

Wellness

The Global Wellness Institute defines wellness as "the active pursuit of activities, choices and lifestyles that lead to a state of holistic health. Wellness is proactive, preventive and driven by self-responsibility."

Wellness is also multidimensional and includes the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, social, and environmental.

Wellness is a continuum. You may be focused on treating an illness, you may want to prevent illness in the future, or enhance your quality of life. While working with me, you may choose to focus on any aspect of wellness.

I am here to support you in accomplishing whatever wellness goals are meaningful to you.

Health

As a Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor, I am trained to consider every aspect of your health, diet, and overall lifestyle when giving nutrition recommendations. I do not diagnose, prescribe for, or treat clients for specific conditions. I can help you to look at any health problems holistically, providing education and suggestions for improvement.

If you are working with a doctor, I can help bridge the gap between your office visit and your every day life, helping you determine the best way to integrate any recommended diet and lifestyle modifications into your life. There is a big difference between knowing what you should do and actually doing it. I can help you do it!

Mindfulness

"Mindfulness is awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgmentally,” says Jon Kabat-Zinn. “And then I sometimes add, in the service of self-understanding and wisdom.”

Being mindful increases our awareness of what is actually happening right now. I use mindfulness prior to each session to create a safe space for you to explore and discover your inner world. I aim to embody Kabat-Zinn's nine core attitudes of mindfulness: non-judging, acceptance, patience, Beginner's Mind, trust, non-striving, letting go, gratitude, and generosity.

Together we can use mindfulness-based awareness exercises to deepen the coaching process.

Helping you find internal strength and motivation to make positive, sustained health changes.
